Clinical Supports

Pharmacy Alternatives (PAL) is very proud of its Clinical Division and the support that we are able to provide to the customers, families, and healthcare providers in the field. If we can provide education in a variety of formats to you, then you can be better informed on those issues closest to the individuals you support every day and provide higher quality care. We provide the services of a fulltime Certified Developmental Disabilities Nurse as a clinical resource to nurses, staffs, and organizations in the field. She can assist in obtaining educational materials, setting up trainings, and connecting you to appropriate resources on the Internet and in your communities, and respond to various and sundry other requests that seem to come up. We will strive to assist you in your educational needs in any way possible.

We also provide a monthly clinical newsletter that addresses the topics you want to know about, including things like:

The newsletter is available by email to all of our customers on a monthly basis, and previous copies are archived on this site.

PAL also provides full-day symposia in areas where we transition new organizations to our services. We bring a cornucopia of speakers with need-to-know information to your area for a day of knowledge sharing, networking, and just plain "getting to know each other." We love the face-to-face contact with our customers in the field!

We also schedule educational luncheon and dinner events in a variety of geographic areas so that you can interact with experts in their respective fields, ask questions about your practice issues, and gain some insight to help you solve particular medical, psychiatric, and/or behavioral issues. We bring you webinars, seminars, conferences and CEU (continuing education unit) events throughout the year.

You will receive FDA alerts via email on recalled medications and other safety issues related to any FDA-approved items such as foods. These occur immediately so that you can determine if there are any medications that need to be addressed with your clients. Safety first!

This website is a resource for you by providing information about us, Pharmacy Alternatives. In addition, the Resources links will provide you with hundreds of options for education, training materials, CE opportunities, research journals and studies, and much, much more! We hope you find these resources useful!
